A Love Bride’s Love Story

The phrase “Love is in the air” couldn’t be more fitting for this next featured couple! Meet Love Bride Jaeron and her husband Daniel! Read on to see just how the pair met and how they went about planning their beautiful Bel Air wedding!

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little about your relationship?

“We met on an airplane! I work as a flight attendant and Daniel was my passenger one day. He was actually returning from a wedding in his hometown of Durham, NC heading back to LA. We ended up talking during the flight and really hit it off. Daniel asked me if I wanted to grab food once we landed; I agreed and the rest is history! After our first official date a few weeks after meeting, we went out maybe 3 times that week. We love activities, going to sports games, trivia, anything adventurous! Dating Daniel always felt and feels like going out with my best friend. We truly enjoy each other’s company.”

What were your first impressions of your husband?

“He had a nice smile and was very charming! He’s also fine!”

When did you first know that you were in love with your husband?

“I knew as soon as we met that he would be special to me. But I knew I was in love with him when I felt at home around him. He made me feel comfortable and safe to be vulnerable.”

How did the proposal happen?

“I planned a birthday trip to Jamaica and invited all my closest friends and family. Daniel and I thought it would be nice to invite his parents so they could meet my parents. If you ask any of my friends, they just knew the proposal was happening on this trip even though he didn’t tell anyone. I swore up and down it wasn’t happening because we agreed that proposing on special days (my birthday) was tacky! So the day after my birthday, Daniel and I are at dinner just us 2 and a representative from the resort finds us and says they want to upgrade our room. They had messed up my birthday cake the night before and this was their way of apologizing-or so I thought! So we head to the room to check it out and immediately after opening the door I see rose petals on the floor. I don’t realize what’s happening at first though. I walk further into the room and walk past the bathroom where I see they’ve run some bath water and lit candles. There’s also music playing in the background. Then I walk into the bedroom and that’s when I see a plate of desserts on the bed and “Will you marry me?” is written in chocolate sauce. I turn around and Daniel is on one knee. I don’t remember exactly everything that he said but I know I said Yes!”

When and where did your wedding take place?

“5-5-2024 at The Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, CA”

How did the two of you decide on the wedding location?

“We originally planned to get married in Miami but the venue we had in mind didn’t work out. So we decided to switch locations to be closer to our home. We wanted scenery and LA has many beautiful, scenic places to offer. I searched a few wedding blogs and found wedding photos with beautiful backgrounds. From there I figured out where those venues were and went to visit them. When I walked into our venue, I immediately knew it was the place. The view was breathtaking! I envisioned us getting married there.”

What were the first steps you took to start your wedding planning process?

“We immediately started saving money lol! Then we went to visit the venue we had in mind. Once that place fell through, we went back to the drawing board to find another venue. We also had a date in mind but we weren’t tied to it. We picked a date based on the venue availability and when we thought we’d have enough money saved!”

What was the most important thing for you and your husband when planning the wedding?

“We really wanted to make the entire weekend an experience since most of our guests would be traveling. It was also important to us to tie in certain elements like traveling since that’s how we met and that’s what we love to do!”

How did you know your wedding dress was the one?

“It had all the elements that I knew I wanted and it was comfortable. I kept thinking about it even after taking it off to try on other dresses. Most of all, it felt like me!”

What was your first dance song and why?

“We did a salsa dance to a Fiesta/Maria Maria/Wild Thoughts mashup because our wedding was on Cinco de Mayo. It was only right!”

What moment from your wedding will you never forget?

“It’s hard to choose just one when the entire day was a dream! Probably standing at the altar and looking into Daniel’s eyes as I read my vows in front of everyone. It felt good to publicly declare in front of everyone how much I love him.”

What is one piece of advice you would give to other brides-to-be?

“Enjoy the process as much as you can! Hire a planner to help alleviate the stress and have your husband help too. Wedding planning is a team effort!”
