Nothing is more inspiring than seeing a real bride, standing in her dream dress, with the love of her life and learning what got them to that very moment. Love Bride, Chaelyn, shares with us a glimpse into her love story with husband Armani.

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little about your relationship? 

“I met Armani’s mother back in 2018 at my mothers women’s conference in Dayton, OH. She mentioned Armani to me, showing me his pictures and letting me know he was single but I politely declined. A few months later I saw him playing bass at a concert in Columbus. I thought he looked familiar so I asked my mom if he was the guy from the pictures I saw at the conference. She didn’t think so being that they lived in Maryland, and we didn’t know he was a musician so it seemed like a stretch. Come to find out, it really was him and he spotted me at the concert as well. We didn’t speak at the conference but he found out who I was. We started talking a few months after that and the rest was history!”

When did you first know that you were in love with your husband?

“It was love at first sight for me!”

How did the proposal happen? 

“Armani put together a surprise proposal for me in my hometown. He came in town for our anniversary and invited all of our family and friends. It was a huge surprise and a beautiful set up! I cried like a baby.”

When and where did your wedding take place? 

“Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Riu Hotel. We got legally married 01/29/21. Our official wedding took place in Jamaica on 03/18/2021.”

How did the two of you decide on the wedding location?

“We wanted to plan a short getaway for our guests, being that we’d been on lockdown and long overdue for a vacation.”

What were the first steps you took to start your wedding planning process?

“We hired a wedding planner!”  

What was the most important thing for you and your husband when planning the wedding?

“The most important thing for us was that we make all of the decisions and make the day special for US and not what our family or guests would want.”

What was your first dance song and why?

“Girl of My Dreams by Chris Brown. The song was picked by Armani because he says I’m the girl of his dreams and it was perfect for a first dance.”

What moment from your wedding will you never forget? 

“The reception! It was so nice to see both of our families together having a great time, dancing, and eating with great music! We were very pleased with our DJ!”

What is one piece of advice you would give to other brides-to-be? 

“You can’t please everyone. It’s YOUR day.”
